URGENT: Boxers in Immediate Need
Most of the boxers in this section are at animal shelters which have a policy requiring them to euthanize dogs
which do not find homes quickly. Some dogs may only have a day or two, others might be held for a week or more,
depending on how full the shelter is. Please do not complain to shelters about this policy! The problem is not with
shelters, it is with irresponsible owners who do not properly care for their pets, others who breed them while there
are over 5 million homeless pets euthanized each year, and others who encourage this by purchasing dogs from
backyard breeders or puppy mills instead of rescuing them. Thank you for considering rescuing a boxer!

A Happy Ending — This boxer was rescued or adopted on April 2, 2008 . Thank you!
There are two boxer/great dane mixes in need of a new home. Barlow: He is a black neutered male, on the left. He is about 75-80 lbs. He came to us very emaciated. He has just completed heart-worm treatment. He weighs about 20 lbs more now than he did in these first pictures. He is house-trained, crate trained, he knows sit and down. He absolutely loves chasing the tennis ball and will fetch all day if you keep throwing it. He also loves to play with other dogs! He is very sweet and affectionate. He will rub his head into you and climb into your lap and just want love! He is very playful outside, and also very calm in the house. He is good with cats and other dogs and kids. He will make some lucky person an awesome pet! Max: He is a fawn neutered male on the right. He is about 60-70 lbs. He is a very playful sweet boy! He is super calm in the house! Crate trained, house-trained, knows sit and down. He loves to play with other dogs and chase the tennis ball. He loves to give kisses! He is good with other dogs and kids, he hasn't met any cats yet. To adopt, an application can be filled out on the Great Creatures Web-page: www.greatcreaturesrescue.org Their adoption fee is $150. If you have any questions, please call Karen Randolph in Knoxville, Tennessee at 865-963-5671.
